lose fat with red light therapy

Red light therapy, also known as Photobiomodulation (PBMT), is gaining popularity as a treatment for various health and cosmetic purposes. This therapy involves the use of specific light wavelengths that penetrate deep into your tissues. Read on to discover how to lose fat with Red Light Therapy and explore the potential benefits it may offer!

With ongoing research, new potential applications for red light therapy are being discovered. It is being used for skincare, improving sleep, and aiding in wound healing, among other things. One exciting application is the use of red light therapy for promoting weight loss. Although the research is still in its early stages, there are emerging connections between red light therapy and losing inches, making it an intriguing option for those seeking fat reduction.

HOW TO LOSE FAT WITH RED LIGHT THERAPY?

Regular 10-minute sessions about three to five times a week can give you amazing results, like the ones seen below!

STUDY 1:

An early study, from 2013 applied red light to perform body contouring specifically to the waist, hips, and thighs. This study demonstrated an average circumference change of almost 3 inches on average.

STUDY 2:

2020 study found that using PBMT on 60 individuals for 6 weeks resulted in weight loss of over 2 pounds over the study period, as well as resulting in improved body satisfaction.

STUDY 3:

A rigorous study used a randomized controlled study, and examined arm circumference, finding a decrease of over an inch after 3 weeks of red light therapy.

STUDY 4:

Another study found that Red Light doubled fat loss, improved insulin sensitivity and helped conserve lean muscle mass in obese women. The results were promising and suggest that Red Light therapy may enhance the beneficial weight loss, body composition and metabolic health benefits of exercise.

Another factor to consider, is that with most existing studies is that the best results were seen in more subtle changes – like sculpting the body, rather than creating a significant drop in weight. While red light therapy may be effective for weight loss, it may be better applied for helping people shape their bodies rather than lose several pounds.

Red Light Therapy & Fat Loss FAQ

Does red light therapy really help with fat loss?

Evidence suggests that red light therapy can help with fat loss by increasing metabolism, improving circulation, and reducing inflammation in fat cells.

How do you get the best results from red light therapy?

To get the best results from red light therapy, it is recommended to use it consistently, at least 3 times a week, over a period of time, ideally 3 months. It’s also important to ensure that the skin is clean and free from any lotions or creams that may block the light. Additionally, positioning the light at the appropriate distance from the body and using it in conjunction with a healthy lifestyle, including regular exercise and a balanced diet, can further enhance its benefits.

How long does it take to do red light therapy for fat loss?

For best results in fat loss with red light therapy, it is recommended to use it consistently for at least three months, in conjunction with regular exercise and a balanced diet.

Where does fat go with red light therapy?

Red light therapy does not make fat disappear, but it can help to reduce the size of fat cells by stimulating the fat cell to release stored fat. This fat is then transported to the liver and metabolized, ultimately being eliminated from the body through natural processes. However, it’s important to note that red light therapy is not a substitute for a healthy diet and exercise, and its effectiveness may vary depending on individual factors.

Does red light therapy work on the stomach?

Yes, red light therapy can work on the stomach by helping to reduce fat in the area and improving skin elasticity.

Does red light therapy cause fat loss in the face?

While red light therapy can improve skin health and reduce wrinkles in the face, it may not necessarily cause fat loss in the area. Its primary mechanism for fat loss is by reducing the size of fat cells, which may not be as significant in the face as in other areas of the body.

I have been using the Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy for the last few weeks and It has helped me so much. I struggle quite a bit with work related stress. When I'm in the chamber I feel completely relaxed, so much so that I can bring my laptop inside and work without stressing. The calmness I feel in the chamber lasts for the remainder of the day as well. I have found too, the more consistent I am with sessions throughout the week the better I feel. The office staff seems well trained in running the tanks too, so I feel safe. I see Dr. Kilcup as well for my brain and gut health. Until now, I don't think I've ever known what "normal" or "healthy" feels like. Thank you all, sincerely!

I am very grateful to have found Dr. Kilcup and be his patient for the last couple of years. He has helped me restore my health back after being exposed to toxic mold for years. He helped identify and treat all of my symptoms I was experiencing and address the root problem. I was looking for the right person who could help me heal with natural therapies and supplements and Dr. Kilcup was the perfect fit. Every appointment and session was necessary and one step towards all the progress I made. Dr. Kilcup is a great functional medicine doctor who was also an advocate for my own health and well-being. I never received any care or attention to detail from other Doctors in past experiences except with Dr. Kilcup. Anyone who is seeking a holistic path towards healing or improving their own health should see him.
