Let’s face it. Sometimes a doctor and a patient just aren’t a great fit. I’d like to help you figure out if I’m the right doc for you by explaining some things patients who love me have is common.
My practice is made up of men, women, boys and girls of all ages. There is a broad range of things my patients have come to me for. All sorts of intestinal problems, autoimmune diseases, fatigue, chronic infections, hormone imbalances, mental and emotional problems, fibromyalgia, headaches, back and neck pain are the kinds of problems I’ve help patients with. I’ve written about a lot of these things I treat so look around my website. If you don’t see what you’re looking for feel free to ask me.
Pretty much all of my patients have sought me out because they were frustrated with the standard medical approach to their health issues. They either have been to many of doctors or have heard the stories and are not interested in going the traditional medical route.
My patients are actually relieved to find that there is objective scientific testing that can get to the bottom of their problem. Even if their insurance will not cover the cost these tests my patients feel thankful to finally get some answers to their problems.
Once I arrived for the first time, I realized that Dr. Kilcup is not your average doctor. He listens to his patients and most importantly, he actually cares. He completed a health assessment for me and identified areas that can be fixed by vitamins and changes to my diet. When I addressed similar concerns with other doctors, I was given prescriptions to make things better. After educating myself with the help of Dr. Kilcup, I realize that I am not crazy nor need to take prescription drugs to improve my well-being. I am thankful that I found Dr. Kilcup as he has walked alongside me on discovering the root causes and is making an impact that will last a lifetime. ~ Gail Burns
Honestly, patients who want a quick fix get frustrated with me. If a patient asks me for a supplement to fix a problem I’m usually going to recommend a test to determine what’s going on instead of guessing. Most of my patients have been through all the quick fixes only to find that they are now sicker and the quick fix is not working anymore. They want to get to the bottom of their problem and get well and stay well.
The patients who really love me love investing in their health. They are proactive and intentional in seeking optimum health. These patients value being drug free. They welcome health tips that can make their lifestyles healthier. These folks are active, enjoying life to the fullest.
If you’re still not sure if I’m a good fit for you schedule an Ask Dr. Kilcup session. These 45 minute appointments can be done over the phone or in person and are a great way for you to talk with me, ask questions and hear what I think. If you have questions, but aren’t sure you’re ready to jump all in with functional medicine then an Ask Dr Kilcup appointment is for you! I can’t offer specific treatment recommendations and I don’t look at past labs, or medical records and there are no follow-ups connected to these sessions.
