Why does a seemingly healthy person suddenly get an autoimmune disease? If you are one of those people, I bet you’ve asked yourself that question. Autoimmune diseases like multiple sclerosis, rheumatoid arthritis, ankylosing spondylitis are on the rise like never before. WHY? Thankfully we have some really solid answers. In this video I talk about the first big WHY. Toxins can cause autoimmune diseases. If you have an autoimmune disease and are not happy with the standard medical approach keep reading!
Our world is very toxic. A study was done with 10 babies to see what kinds of toxins could be detected. Shockingly researchers discovered that even babies have many dangerous toxins. On average a woman puts 500 chemicals on their skin each day.
Toxins like Bisphenol A (BPA), Trichloroethylene (TCE), Mercury, Asbestos and even prescription medication like statins can trigger autoimmune diseases. If these weren’t enough, our food is covered with pesticides and herbicides that can trigger autoimmune diseases.
I always test my patients with autoimmune diseases for toxins and their ability to get rid of toxins. I frequently find that these patients have high levels of more than one dangerous toxin. Often, because of the patient’s genetics, they are unable to detoxify toxins efficiently. As a result these toxins build up.
Thankfully there are very safe and effective ways to get rid of these toxins. Treatment is different depending on which toxins are present. The first big step in detoxing is to stop the exposure to these toxins.
Some really basic first steps I recommend are:
- Eat organic
- Get rid of toxic cleaning chemicals
- Get rid of all cosmetics with toxic chemicals
- Drink at least 3 quarts of clean filtered water a day (not from plastic bottles)
- Eat lots of organic vegetables
For more information on these toxins see my articles mercury, mold and phthalates.
As always I enjoy your comments and questions.
