Have you ever had something that you’ve wanted to do, know you needed to do, been really frustrated that you’ve not gotten it done, or may be even experienced pain and suffering because you didn’t do it? Yea well what you see here in this photo is what I felt after FINALLY making my office work desk a sitting/standing desk.
Over the years my work has required that I spend more time working on the computer (like right now 🙂 ). As I have worked more sitting down I have noticed that I get more back and neck pain. Yes it’s true, believe it or not this chiropractor suffers from the same thing as many of his patients do. I have found that prolonged sitting, standing or any sustained posture will cause back pain quicker than anything else, except maybe getting run over by a truck.
For me it took a combination of getting tired of the pain and a big hole in my schedule that gave me the time to figure out how I was going to make my standing desk. Since I finished my sitting/standing desk, I have not had my back start to ache while I’m working on my computer at the office! Its great! I’m happier, I have more energy, I get more work done, and when I go home I’m a better husband and father.
